The Web page offers a simple download link, which actually downloads the Google Pack Installer, a small Windows desktop application that analyzes the choices you make and then later downloads and installs the applications you selected Adobe Reader is free, universal software that lets you open, view, search, and print Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files with built-in security features. To date, more than 500 million copies of Adobe Reader have been distributed worldwide on 23 platforms and 26 languages. From the Web page, you can select from up to 13 different applications, which are described below. By default, 9 of the 13 applications are selected for install; these include Google Earth, Google Desktop, Picasa, Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer, Google Pack Screensaver, Mozilla Firefox with Google Toolbar, Ad-Aware SE Personal, Norton Antivirus 2005 Special Edition, and Adobe Reader 7.
